Job Summary
Respiratory Care Practitioner - RRT PRN provides evaluation of and care for respiratory therapy patients. Administers prescribed respiratory therapeutic services and develops care plans based on physician orders. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, implementing and monitoring care plans and equipment, evaluating treatment effectiveness, educating patients and families, maintaining equipment and inventory, responding to emergencies, and adhering to department policies. Requires an associate’s degree in Respiratory Care (or equivalent), BLS HCP, NBRC RRT credential, and state licensure/registration where practicing.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent years of experience and education.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Respiratory Care Practitioner, Registered - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Respiratory Care Practitioner, Registered - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
- Respiratory Educ Permit - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
- Provisional Respiratory Care Therapist - Oklahoma Medical Board
- Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - NBRC
