Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT)

Job Summary
Assess patients for treatment frequency and develop care plans based on diagnosis. Administer prescribed respiratory therapeutic services and monitor patient conditions while communicating updates to the team. Implement advanced respiratory care modalities and respond to medical emergencies and rapid responses. Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and available community support programs. Maintain equipment through calibration, cleaning, and sterilization procedures while managing departmental inventory levels. Work nights from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. in a constant state of alertness. Requires an Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent experience, plus BLS HCP and RRT certification.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent years of experience and education
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Respiratory Care Practitioner, Registered - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Respiratory Care Practitioner - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
- Respiratory Educ Permit - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
- Letter of Acknowledgement of Receipt of Application for Respiratory Care Practitioner - Oklahoma Medical Board
- Provisional Respiratory Care Therapist - Oklahoma Medical Board
- Respiratory Care Practitioner - Oklahoma Medical Board
