Job Summary

Performs routine respiratory care procedures including medication administration, gas therapy, ventilator support, spirometry, and bronchoscopy assistance as part of the Pulmonary Rehab outpatient team. Collaborates with physicians and healthcare staff to deliver high-quality patient care, ensure safety, monitor respiratory status, conduct diagnostic testing such as arterial blood gases and related assessments, and document care and charges accurately. Requires effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues, strong time management, and adaptability to multiple priorities. Must hold appropriate respiratory care licensure and certifications (RRT, Texas licensure, BLS, ACLS); PALS/NRP may be required depending on assignment.

Required Qualifications

  • RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC)
  • Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner - State Licensure - Texas
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
