Job Summary
Under supervision the Respiratory Therapist provides services to patients at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK, as prescribed by physicians in conjunction with established policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines. Responsible for assessing the patient's respiratory status and recommending appropriate therapies. Implements therapies and evaluates patient response to therapeutic interventions. Position types include Full time (0.9 FTE, 36 hours per week) with a $10,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires and relocation assistance available for eligible hires; Per Diem (0.01 FTE) as needed. Requires NBRC credentials, BLS, ACLS within 90 days, and 5 years of pediatrics experience; preferred Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care. Job offers comprehensive benefits and is on-site at PAMC in Anchorage.
Required Qualifications
- National Registered Respiratory Therapist - National Board for Respiratory Care upon hire
- National Certified Respiratory Therapist - National Board for Respiratory Care upon hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
- National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
- 5 years - Experience in pediatrics respiratory therapy
- Preferred Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care
