Job Summary
Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician under the direction of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director. Conduct assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care while considering age and population-specific needs. Serve as a Lead RCP for the section or department if no supervisor is present during your shift. Maintain current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure, along with BLS and ACLS certifications. Requires an Associate of Science degree and one year of acute care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Associate of Science Degree
- One year of acute care experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
- Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the AHA or ARC
