Job Summary
Perform Respiratory Therapy modalities and technical procedures on complex life support systems while making on-the-spot decisions affecting patient care across neonatal to geriatric settings. Ensure all prescribed therapy is performed with quality and maintain proficiency through clinical rotation. Work two weekend shifts per month on a variable schedule, including nights, with rotating weekends. Requires current valid license from the Respiratory Care Examining Committee, BLS certification, and active membership in A.ARC or CSRC.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma
- Graduate from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy
- RCP-Respiratory Care Practitioner
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- Active membership in the A.A.RC. (American Association for Respiratory Care)
- Active membership in the C.S.R.C. (California Society for Respiratory Care)
- License or Certification
- Must have, present and maintain current valid license from Respiratory Care Examining Committee
- Demonstration of proficiency during clinical rotation in accredited school of Respiratory Therapy
- Must present valid license from Respiratory Care Board or Certificate of Completion from accredited Respiratory Therapy Program and a valid work permit
- Availability to work two weekend shifts per month
- These shifts do not need to be consecutive
Desired Qualifications
- One or more years experience in the practical application of Respiratory Therapy under medical supervision
- With experience In the practical application of Respiratory Therapy procedures under medical direction
