Respiratory Care Practitioner - NICU (Full-time, Night Shift)

Job Summary
Assess and document respiratory therapy appropriateness, administer aerosol and oxygen therapy, and draw arterial blood gases for patients. Manage ventilator patients, perform pulmonary function tests, and assist in cardiorespiratory rehabilitation. Maintain electronic medical records, flow sheets, and charges while ensuring compliance with VAP and ventilator bundles. Provide patient and family education on disease management and serve as a technical resource to physicians and staff. Support equipment maintenance, stocking, and quality control processes. Requires RRT or CRT credential, RCP license, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP. Night shift rotation applies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) credential
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential
