Respiratory Care Practitioner - NICU (Full-time, Night Shift)

Job Summary
Assess and document prescribed therapy appropriateness, administer aerosol and oxygen therapy, and manage ventilator patients while drawing arterial blood gases. Perform pulmonary function tests, drainage procedures, and cardiorespiratory rehabilitation, providing instruction to patients and families on disease management. Maintain electronic medical records, flow sheets, and charges; ensure compliance with VAP and ventilator bundles; and assist in equipment maintenance, stocking, and bronchoscopy support. Serve as a clinical resource to physicians and staff regarding respiratory care techniques and participate in staff training and supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification
- AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
- Acknowledgment of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) credential
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential
