Respiratory Care Practitioner - NICU (Full-time, Night Shift)

Job Summary
Assess and document respiratory therapy appropriateness, administer aerosol and oxygen therapy, and manage ventilator patients. Perform pulmonary function tests, drainage procedures, and provide cardiorespiratory rehabilitation. Draw arterial blood gases, assist physicians with bronchoscopies, and ensure compliance with VAP and ventilator bundle orders. Maintain equipment, process supplies, and instruct nursing personnel on surveillance protocols. Serve as a clinical resource for safe therapy administration and participate in quality control and staff competency reviews. Full-time night shift required; NBRC-RRT or CRT credential preferred with RCP license.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) credential
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential
