Respiratory Care Practitioner - NICU (Full-time, Night Shift)

Provide basic and critical respiratory care services in the NICU for adult and geriatric patients, with responsibility for patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Administer aerosol and oxygen therapy, draw arterial blood gases, and manage patients on mechanical ventilation. Maintain patient records, discharge and charge documentation, and participate in training and supervision of new staff. Perform pulmonary function tests, drainage procedures, and patient/family education regarding cardio-respiratory disease and treatment. Conduct rounds to check equipment, ensure ventilation and VAP bundle compliance, and assist physicians with bronchoscopy and other procedures. Support department operations, inventory, and quality control, while contributing to care plans and ongoing communication of diagnoses and patient status throughout hospitalization.
