Respiratory Care Practitioner - NICU (Full-time, Night Shift)

Job Summary
Assess and document prescribed respiratory therapy, administer aerosol and oxygen treatments, and manage ventilator patients while drawing arterial blood gases. Perform pulmonary function tests, drainage procedures, and cardiorespiratory rehabilitation, providing instruction to patients and families on disease management. Conduct equipment rounds, ensure compliance with ventilator and VAP bundles, and assist physicians with bronchoscopies and specialty procedures. Maintain department records, stock equipment, and support staff training and supervision. Full-time night shift required; NBRC-RRT or CRT credential preferred with RCP license.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) credential
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential
