Respiratory Care Practitioner - NICU (Full-time, Night Shift)

Job Summary
Assess and document prescribed respiratory therapy appropriateness, administer aerosol and oxygen treatments, and manage ventilator patients while drawing arterial blood gases. Perform pulmonary function tests, drainage procedures, and cardiorespiratory rehabilitation, assisting physicians with bronchoscopies and special procedures. Maintain equipment readiness, ensure compliance with VAP and ventilator bundles, and support staff scheduling and competency tracking. Provide patient and family education on disease management and progress updates. Requires Respiratory Care Practitioner license, RRT/CRT credential, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP. Night shift position at Adventist Health Sierra Vista.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification
- AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) credential
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential
