Respiratory Care Practitioner - NICU (Full-time, Night Shift)

Job Summary
Assess and document respiratory therapy appropriateness, administer aerosol and oxygen treatments, and manage ventilator patients while drawing arterial blood gases. Perform pulmonary function tests, drainage procedures, and cardiorespiratory rehabilitation, providing instruction to patients and families on disease management. Maintain equipment, ensure compliance with VAP and ventilator bundles, and assist physicians with bronchoscopies and special procedures. Complete electronic medical records, flow sheets, and charges for each patient. Full-time night shift position. Requires RCP license and NBRC-RRT or CRT credential. Located in San Luis Obispo.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) credential or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential
