Job Summary
Interventional pulmonary-focused Respiratory Care Practitioner role dedicated to bronchoscopy and advanced airway procedures in a hospital setting. Primary responsibilities include administering diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients across general, critical care, and specialty services, with emphasis on interventional pulmonary services. Requires an Associate’s Degree in respiratory therapy, California RCP license, NBRC RRT, BLS, and at least one of the listed advanced life support certifications (ACLS, PALS); NRP preferred. On-call duties apply. Strong ability to assemble and troubleshoot equipment, communicate effectively, collaborate with teams, supervise/teach as needed, manage multiple assignments, and maintain careful documentation in medical records. The role calls for clinical competence in bronchoscopy support and advanced airway procedures within a dynamic, pressure-filled environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree from an accredited respiratory therapy program
- Respiratory Care Practitioner License from the State of California
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Life Support certifications (ACLS, PALS)
- PALS and ACLS through an AHA program are required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) preferred
- Minimum one year of clinical experience preferred
