Job Summary
Provide respiratory care services to patients with pulmonary and cardiac diseases, including setting up and operating respiratory equipment, administering therapies (inhalation, aerosol, MDI/DPI), managing airways and mechanical ventilators, and educating patients. Performs assessments, documents care in patient records, collaborates with the healthcare team, conducts discharge planning for home respiratory care, and responds to medical emergencies. Requires licensure and RRT credential, and an associate degree or higher in respiratory therapy or closely related field. On-site night shift duties in Buffalo, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of an Associate’s Degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy or closely related field
- Eligibility for licensure to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in New York State at time of appointment
- Possession of a license to practice Respiratory Therapy in New York State at time of appointment and maintenance throughout duration of appointment
- Possession of a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential as issued by NBRC at time of application and maintenance throughout duration of appointment
- Possession of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from ECMCC approved provider at time of application and maintenance throughout duration of appointment
