Job Summary
Perform respiratory therapy, ventilator management, EKGs, and serve on the code team for adult, geriatric, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Conduct exercise stress testing and pulmonary function testing as needed. Complete accurate, timely documentation in patient records to ensure proper billing. Maintain a safe clinic environment and meet annual safety and educational requirements. Communicate effectively with peers, physicians, and patients while maintaining confidentiality. Participate in internal and external education opportunities to advance clinical skills.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy from a program accredited by the Committee On Accreditation for Respiratory Care (COARC) or accredited by the American Medical Association's Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA)
- Current state Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCPRT) license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Desired Qualifications
- One-year experience
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
