Job Summary
Perform respiratory therapy, ventilator management, EKGs, and serve on the code team for adult, geriatric, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Conduct exercise stress testing and pulmonary function testing while executing cardiopulmonary procedures based on physician orders and sound clinical judgment. Maintain accurate patient documentation, ensure proper billing, and uphold patient confidentiality during verbal and non-verbal communications with all stakeholders. Keep the clinic environment and equipment safe, meet annual safety and educational requirements, and complete professional development and competency files.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy from a program accredited by the Committee On Accreditation for Respiratory Care (COARC) or accredited by the American Medical Association's Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA)
- Current state Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCPRT) license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association within one year of hire
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within one year of hire
Desired Qualifications
- One-year experience
- Basic familiarity wth computers
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
