Job Summary
Assess patients, plan interventions, and evaluate respiratory care outcomes while performing procedures within scope of license. Lead clinical rounds, mentor staff, and provide feedback for coaching and performance evaluations. Design quality improvement initiatives, lead clinical research, and manage data collection for measurable outcomes. Serve as shift Charge Therapist to assign staff, modify assignments, and ensure adequate coverage for patient care areas. Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, implement treatment plans, and educate patients and caregivers on therapy administration. Maintain accurate documentation, ensure infection control standards, and respond to resuscitations as clinically indicated.
Required Qualifications
- Current Respiratory Care License in the state they are working
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentialed
- Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional
- Competency in at least two of the following environments: Nursery/NICU, PICU, ICU/CCU, ED, and general care areas
- Valid driver's license

- BLS Basic Life Support
- ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - AAP/AWHONN
- Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT)
- Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT)
- ACCS (Adult Critical Care Specialist) - NBRC
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Master's Degree in a related field
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training
