Job Summary
Assess patients, plan interventions, and deliver respiratory care including oxygen therapy, ventilator management, bronchial hygiene, and aerosolized medication administration. Monitor patient responses to modify treatments, perform arterial blood gas analyses, and assist physicians with procedures like bronchoscopy and intubation. Maintain mechanical ventilators, conduct pulmonary function tests, and instruct patients and families on home therapy techniques. Serve as the shift Charge Therapist to assign staff, manage meal coverage, and ensure adequate staffing levels. Respond to cardio-pulmonary resuscitations and actively participate in airway management as required by clinical circumstances.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, Related to Respiratory Therapy/Health care/Healthcare Admin/Business Admin
- Current Respiratory Care License in the state they are working
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentialed
- BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
- ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support - American Heart Association
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - AAP/AWHONN
- Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional
- Valid driver's license (required for Home Care/DME)

- Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT)
- Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT)
- ACCS (Adult Critical Care Specialist) - NBRC
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training
