Job Summary

Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the provider, focusing on assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care tailored to patient age and population needs. Operate under the direction of the medical director, cardiopulmonary director, or manager, with the potential to serve as a Lead RCP overseeing the section or department during shifts. Maintain current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) licensure, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification, and active Basic Life Support (BLS), Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and preferred Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) credentials. This full-time night shift role is based at Bridgton Hospital, part of Central Maine Healthcare's network serving rural Maine communities.

Required Qualifications

  • Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or obtained within three (3) months of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
  • Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the AHA or ARC

Desired Qualifications

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certificate
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certificate
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree
  • Two (2) years of acute care experience
