Job Summary

Provide respiratory care to inpatients and outpatients by reviewing patient records, performing assessments, and conducting diagnostic measurements including pulmonary function parameters and arterial blood gas acquisition. Deliver therapeutic interventions for airway management, secretion removal, and ventilation support while preparing and maintaining respiratory equipment. Collaborate with physicians to develop patient care plans, assist with transport and discharge planning, and participate in clinical rounds and emergency response teams. Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records and support pulmonary diagnostics, rehabilitation, and EEG-related testing as assigned. Requires active Maryland license, NBRC registration, and current BLS/ACLS certifications.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved Respiratory Care Practitioner program
  • Associate's degree
  • Current active Maryland license
  • NBRC registration
  • Current CPR certification
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • ACLS certification obtained within six months of hire
  • Pass hospital Arrhythmia test within three months
  • Strong knowledge of respiratory anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic procedures
  • Ability to use respiratory equipment and troubleshoot mechanical issues
