Respiratory Care Practitioner I

Perform diagnostic, therapeutic, and metabolic testing in accordance with physician orders and protocols. Execute procedures including endotracheal intubation, extubations, tracheostomy tube changes, bronchoscopy, and capnography monitoring. Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, analyze therapeutic interventions, and report clinical responses. Transport patients requiring mechanical ventilation or airway protection while ensuring safe device operation in MRI environments. Maintain proficiency in mechanical ventilation modalities, NIPPV, CPAP, and BiPAP. Collaborate with medical staff and the healthcare team to support efficient, cost-effective patient and family care, providing education and discharge planning. Works nights in the Neonatal ICU.
