Job Summary
Respiratory Care Practitioner provides care for patients with severe respiratory conditions across general, clinical, emergency, and diagnostic settings at ProMedica hospitals; responsibilities include creating care plans, evaluating goals, communicating with the health care team, providing clinical instruction to students and residents, and orienting new staff. Preferred certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS) may be required by some units.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) NBRC
- Current BLS
- Licensed to render respiratory care in Ohio and/or Michigan
- Continuing education to stay current in respiratory care
