Job Summary
Respiratory Care Practitioner (Greer Neonatal and ICU) - PRN, Nights provides independent respiratory care in acute and critical care settings per physician orders and department policy. Responsibilities include initiating/monitoring mechanical ventilation, airway management, blood gas collection and analysis, documentation, patient/family education, interprofessional communication, infection control, and equipment sterilization. Requires an Associate degree in Respiratory Care and state licensure with RRT credentials; applicable BLS/NRP/PALS/ACLS certifications must be maintained. Night shift position located at Greer Memorial Hospital with a minimum 48-hour commitment over 6 weeks; on-site in Greer, SC (and related Prisma Health locations).
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Respiratory Care
- Graduate of a Respiratory Care Program by an accredited school
- Respiratory Care Practitioner license from the state in which work is performed
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- NBRC credentials must be maintained
- BLS
- NRP
- PALS
- ACLS
- NPS (as required by work unit)
