Job Summary
Deliver essential respiratory care per physician orders to pediatric, adult, and geriatric critical care patients. Meticulously manage equipment, adapt care plans to optimize outcomes, and communicate effectively with patients, fellow therapists, and medical staff using SBAR. Acknowledge patient identifiers, introduce yourself, describe therapy duration, and perform thorough patient hand-offs. Stay informed by reading department directives, attending meetings, or signing minutes. Maintain certifications including Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program within specified timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate from a two-year Respiratory Care Program
- Currently enrolled in a Respiratory Care Program
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- EKG certification
- EEG certification
- EMG certification
- 1 year of experience in the operation of electrocardiographic, electromyelographic and electroencephalographic equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) experience
