Job Summary
Assist in administering routine respiratory care services under the supervision of a licensed respiratory care practitioner; perform respiratory procedures commonly used in assigned areas; deliver respiratory procedures as prescribed by physicians; document all pertinent information on respiratory care rendered; ensure patent airway and adequate ventilation during CPR; set up, operate, and monitor respiratory monitoring equipment under direct supervision; process respiratory equipment for sterilization and provides necessary preventive maintenance; contribute to effective communication within the patient care team; maintain commitment to patient safety, quality of care, and continuous improvement of the patient experience; participate in facility/unit coverage as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in an accredited respiratory therapy program pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy
- May be a recent graduate having earned an associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited respiratory therapy program
- Respiratory Therapy student who has completed at least 1 year in an accredited respiratory therapy program
