Job Summary
Assist in administering routine respiratory care services and perform respiratory procedures under supervision, including setting up and operating respiratory monitoring equipment, documenting care, and ensuring patent airway and adequate ventilation during CPR. Role involves supporting the patient care team, maintaining equipment, and contributing to safety and quality care in a hospital setting; ideal candidates are RT students or recent graduates pursuing an RT degree, with appropriate BLS certification and ongoing professional growth. Work is part-time with variable shifts at Lakeland facilities (St. Joseph and Niles, MI).
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in an accredited respiratory therapy program pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy
- May be a recent graduate having earned an associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited respiratory therapy program
- Respiratory Therapy student who has completed at least 1 year in an accredited respiratory therapy program
- Preferred CRT-BLS - AHA Upon Hire required OR CRT-BLS - ARC Upon Hire required
