Job Summary
Perform high-level clinical respiratory care under indirect supervision, executing various procedures across all age groups while exercising independent clinical judgment. Maintain productivity at required levels and ensure accurate documentation of all records. Occasionally assume roles as Lead Therapist, shift Team Leader, or clinical Instructor as assigned. Demonstrate acute and critical care knowledge regarding cardiopulmonary diseases, precepting in relevant areas, and maintaining current BLS, ACLS, P, and NRP certifications. Serve as a role model for Kettering Health's mission, vision, and values within a not-for-profit system of 14 medical centers and 120+ outpatient facilities dedicated to restoring health.
Required Qualifications
- Graduates of a 2–4-year AMA approved Respiratory Program
- Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner for the State of Ohio
- Credentials issued by the National Board of Respiratory Care
- Active AARC member
- demonstrate acute/critical care knowledge as it relates to cardiopulmonary diseases
- involved in precepting acute/critical care areas
- supervisor capabilities
- current BLS with ACLS, P, and NRP for respective work area
