Job Summary
The Registered Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care, performs cardiopulmonary assessments, and implements treatment plans for patients across all ages. Responsibilities include educating patients and families about care plans, conducting necessary interventions, maintaining respiratory equipment, and complying with safety procedures. The position requires effective communication and teamwork within an interdisciplinary environment, along with maintaining detailed documentation of care provided. An Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care is required, along with an RRT registration and various certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) registration
- Certification in Basic Life Saving (BLS)
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification required within 3 months of hire
- 2 to 4 years of work-related experience or equivalent combination of education and training
