Job Summary
Facilitate the application process for eviction prevention assistance and process rental assistance for households facing nonpayment of rent. Work directly with clients to collect documentation, conduct assessments and intakes, and coordinate referrals for housing stabilization and health-related social needs. Maintain accurate client records in the Homeless Management Information System and collaborate with landlords, healthcare providers, and community partners to ensure coordinated service delivery. Provide onsite coverage at the Mill City lobby, responding to inquiries and conducting initial screenings while de-escalating escalated client situations. Requires a valid driver's license, four years of social services experience, and the ability to work day, evening, and weekend shifts as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Four years of relevant social services experience
- Driver qualifications
- Valid driver license
- Insured vehicle available for use on the job
- Satisfactory drive record for the previous three years
- Basic Life Support/First Aid Certification
- Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Data entry skills
- Internet applications skills
- Effective customer service skills
- Phone skills
- Writing skills
- Appropriate email etiquette
- Time management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to process cases accurately with a sense of urgency

- Ability to work on-site (not eligible for remote work)

- Ability to handle potential law enforcement involvement
- Ability to handle potential paramedic professionals involvement
- Ability to work in close quarters with a client population experiencing homelessness, substance use disorders, and/or severe and persistent mental illness
- Ability to work with unpredictable behavior
- Ability to comply with all Agency policies and procedures, including finance, confidentiality, safety, health, and grant compliance requirements
- Must possess computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, data entry, and internet applications
- Effective customer service, phone skills, as well as writing and appropriate email etiquette
- Must possess time management skills, meet deadlines, and process cases accurately with a sense of urgency
- Exhibits a positive attitude and engages with others in a cooperative and supportive manner
