Job Summary
Resource Specialist skilled at identifying and coordinating resources for clients and families. Responsibilities include assisting staff and consumers in determining the need for specialized services, conducting resource identification and referrals, providing training support for all clients and families, and connecting them with available community resources. Interacts with staff, clients, families, outside agencies, and the public to facilitate access to services. Division/program operates a 24/7 intensive treatment, voluntary residential program for adults (16-bed unit) overseen by regional mental health authorities, serving as a step-down from higher levels of care. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED, HiSET) plus one (1) year full-time equivalent experience in a program serving persons with mental disabilities OR completion of a minimum of 20 hours on-the-job training within one (1) year of employment (in addition to annually required 20 hours of training)
- AOD certification or pursuing substance use certification preferred
- Valid CA driver’s license and driving record meeting company policy
- First Aid certification from Red Cross or similar recognized provider (or obtained within 90 days of employment)
