Create and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student; develop detailed lesson plans and submit for administrator approval; participate in IEP meetings; use individualized reinforcement techniques to keep students on track; communicate with staff and families about progress; invite family involvement; prepare progress reports quarterly; collaborate with on-site therapists on disciplinary/behavioral issues; establish a safe, productive classroom environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- Special Education Teacher License that includes K-3
- Experience working with K-12 children
