Job Summary
Interventional Resource Nurses assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care in accordance with standards of nursing practice for adult/geriatric/pediatric patients at Mercy’s Surgery Center. The role emphasizes applying theoretical concepts to clinical decisions, contributing to mission and values, and providing comprehensive perioperative nursing care within the PACU setting. Key responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, and adherence to Mercy Service Standards, with required certifications relevant to the unit and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Licensure: Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure; must meet state nursing requirements
- Experience: 1 year of nursing experience
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) or completion within 30 days of hire; ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM or other unit-specific certifications as required
