Job Summary
Interventional Resource Nurses provide specialized perioperative care in the PACU, using nursing theory to guide decisions and delivering care across adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized nursing care in accordance with nursing practice standards and Mercy Service Standards. Requires active RN licensure, BLS (with ACLS/NRP/ENPC/TNCC/CPHON/OCN/PALS/PEARS/S.T.A.B.L.E./C-EFM or unit-specific certifications as required), and willingness to meet unit requirements. Full-time shift (40 hours/week) within Mercy Hospital’s Surgery Center environment, focusing on delivering safe, compassionate patient care and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Basic Life Support certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- ACLS/NRP/ENPC/TNCC/CPHON/OCN/PALS/PEARS/S.T.A.B.L.E./C-EFM or unit-specific certifications as required by position/unit
- Ability to push/pull/lift 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods
- One year of nursing experience
