Job Summary
Resource RN Inpatient – Women’s Nights for Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Resource Team. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate patient care; monitoring patient conditions; adjusting care plans; mobilizing resources; providing documentation in the EHR; engaging patients and families; participating in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives; promoting safety and ethical care; potentially administering medications and therapies per clinical protocols; delegating to RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed personnel; floating to other units/facilities within the service area as needed; maintaining professional development, and complying with ANA Code of Ethics. Requires RN license with applicable privileges, BLS, 1 year of clinical nursing experience (2 years service-line experience preferred), strong clinical judgment, communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment; shift includes nights; position supports multiple facilities within the Wake Forest Baptist network; MSN/BSN preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program
- Active registered nurse (RN) license with privileges in the state(s) where providing client nursing services
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to float to other units, departments, or facilities within designated service area as needed
- Experience typically 1 year in clinical nursing; 2 years of service line specific RN experience preferred
- Knowledge of nursing processes, evidence-based practice, and EHR documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively, provide quality patient care, and collaborate with care teams
