Job Summary
Resource Registered Nurse Inpatient for the Wake Forest Baptist Resource Team; floating to Baptist, High Point, Hugh Catham & Wilkes facilities within the Wake Forest Baptist system. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care; engaging patients and families; monitoring patient conditions; adjusting care plans; coordinating with the care team; ensuring safety; administering medications/treatments per clinical protocols; promoting evidence-based practices; maintaining accurate EHR documentation; delegating appropriately; pursuing ongoing professional development and maintaining certifications. Requires knowledge of growth and development, and ability to provide age-specific care, with capability to float to other units or facilities as needed; adherence to ANA Code of Ethics and interprofessional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program
- Active registered nurse (RN) license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience; two years of service line specific RN experience required
- BSN preferred
- Ability to float to other units/facilities within the designated service area as needed
- Ability to provide age-appropriate care and adhere to department policies
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and related healthcare IT systems
