Job Summary
Conduct holistic assessments of patients' physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs while identifying safety risks and reporting abnormal data. Develop individualized plans of care with measurable goals, collaborate on multidisciplinary interventions, and provide ongoing patient and family education. Implement evidence-based nursing actions, respond to emergency situations with precision, and evaluate care effectiveness against established standards. Document all activities accurately in the electronic medical record and participate in staff meetings, councils, and performance improvement initiatives. Maintain competency through required training, mentor peers, and support professional growth within The Christ Hospital Health Network.
Required Qualifications
- RN licensure to practice nursing in Ohio
- BSN within 5 years of hire date (for nurses hired after January 2010)
- BLS certification prior to patient contact
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas
- Ability to accept and implement change
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse setting
- Current licensure to practice nursing in Ohio
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas
- Certification in area of clinical specialty within five years of eligibility (expected)
- BSN within 5 years of hire date (for nurses hired after January 2010)
- Ability to accept and implement change
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse setting
Desired Qualifications
- MSN or DNP
- Membership in professional organizations
- Participation in the professional advancement program
- Certification specific to work area of professional practice when eligible
- Participation in chosen professional organizations and conferences
- Participation in development and maintenance of research activities
