Job Summary
Conduct holistic assessments of patients' physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational needs, prioritizing actual and potential nursing diagnoses while recognizing and reporting abnormal data to physicians and charge RNs. Implement evidence-based care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, delegate nursing actions based on physician orders, and provide individualized patient and family education. Evaluate care effectiveness against established standards and adjust interventions based on patient response, ensuring accurate documentation in the electronic medical record. Maintain competency through participation in staff meetings, council activities, and performance improvement projects, while mentoring peers and precepting nursing students. Adhere to Ohio Nurse Practice Act, complete required BLS certification, and fulfill annual education requirements within The Christ Hospital Health Network.
Required Qualifications
- RN licensure to practice nursing in Ohio
- BSN within 5 years of hire date (for nurses hired after January 2010)
- BLS certification prior to patient contact
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas
- Ability to accept and implement change
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse setting
- Current licensure to practice nursing in Ohio
Desired Qualifications
