Job Summary
Assess patients holistically for physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs; establish and prioritize individualized care plans with measurable goals. Implement evidence-based interventions, delegate tasks appropriately, and respond to emergency situations with controlled precision. Evaluate care effectiveness continuously, adjust plans based on patient response, and maintain documentation in the electronic medical record. Mentor peers, participate in staff and council meetings, and contribute to performance improvement projects. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, complete required training on time, and maintain current Ohio licensure and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- RN licensure to practice nursing in Ohio
- BSN within 5 years of hire date (for nurses hired after January 2010)
- BLS certification prior to patient contact
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas
- Ability to accept and implement change
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse setting
- Current licensure to practice nursing in Ohio
Desired Qualifications
- MSN or DNP
- Certification specific to work area of professional practice
- Membership in professional organizations
- Participation in the professional advancement program
- Participation in chosen professional organizations and conferences
