Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using The Christ Hospital Professional Practice Model, including holistic physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams via SBAR handoffs, establish discharge plans, and provide individualized education. Demonstrate critical thinking when reviewing orders, respond to emergency situations with precision, and maintain safety initiatives. Document all interventions and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record. Mentor peers, participate in staff meetings, and contribute to performance improvement projects while maintaining competency in point-of-care testing.
Required Qualifications
- RN licensure to practice nursing in Ohio
- BSN within 5 years of hire date (for nurses hired after January 2010)
- BLS certification prior to patient contact
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas
- Ability to accept and implement change
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse setting
- Current licensure to practice nursing in Ohio
- BSN within 5 years of hire date (for nurses hired after January 2010)
- BLS certification prior to patient contact
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas
- Certification in area of clinical specialty expected within five years of eligibility
Desired Qualifications
