Job Summary

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate holistic patient care utilizing The Christ Hospital Professional Practice Model, including physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate plans of care, establish measurable goals, and communicate updates via SBAR handoff processes. Perform and delegate nursing actions based on physician orders, respond to emergency situations with precision, and provide individualized patient and family education. Document all interventions and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record while maintaining competency through required BLS certification and annual education. Participate in staff meetings, unit-based performance improvement projects, and council activities to support professional growth and peer mentorship.

Required Qualifications

  • RN licensure to practice nursing in Ohio
  • BSN within 5 years of hire date (for nurses hired after January 2010)
  • BLS certification prior to patient contact
  • ACLS certification within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas
  • Ability to accept and implement change
  • Ability to work in a culturally diverse setting
  • Current licensure to practice nursing in Ohio
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas
  • Certification in area of clinical specialty within five years of eligibility (expected)
