Job Summary
Conduct holistic assessments of patients' physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational needs while identifying safety risks and reporting abnormal data to physicians. Develop and implement individualized plans of care with measurable goals, utilizing SBAR for handoffs and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team on discharge planning. Provide evidence-based patient and family education, respond to emergency situations with precision, and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record. Evaluate care effectiveness against standards of care and adjust interventions based on patient response. Demonstrate leadership by mentoring peers, participating in staff and council meetings, and contributing to performance improvement projects. Maintain competency through required education, BLS certification, and adherence to The Christ Hospital's culturally specific care model.
Required Qualifications
- RN licensure to practice nursing in Ohio
- BSN within 5 years of hire date (for nurses hired after January 2010)
- BLS certification prior to patient contact
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas
- Ability to accept and implement change
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse setting
- Current licensure to practice nursing in Ohio
Desired Qualifications
