Job Summary
Operate resource pool dryers by feeding material per standards to prevent plug-ups and grading veneer for proper stacking. Maintain safety protocols by keeping hands clear of moving chains and nip points, completing LOTO training, and wearing required PPE. Remove trash from dryer stackers and manage loads while working in a fast-paced environment with machinery and forklift traffic. Complete TPM tasks as assigned, which may involve mandatory overtime, and rotate to other drying process roles as needed to ensure material flow.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Entry Level Computer Skills
- Ability to work from detailed instructions
- Ability to lift at minimum 25 lbs
- Continuous mental and visual attention
- Ability to work in various jobs
- Ability to rotate to different job duties
- Ability to follow written and verbal job instructions
- Ability to provide feedback
- Ability to apply critical thinking
- Ability to use personal safety equipment
- Completion of LOTO training
- Ability to flex to other roles as needed
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that includes moving machinery, fast paced fork lift traffic, machine noise, and a work environment that will vary depending on the time of the year
