Job Summary
Resource Planning Analyst at Vanguard overseeing staffing and forecasting for multiple business units. Responsible for generating volume forecasts for inbound call/processing departments, creating and maintaining forecasting models using statistical techniques, and performing ad-hoc analyses to support decision-making. Leads workflow/process-improvement projects, assesses staffing drivers (volume, handle time, shrinkage, occupancy), and collaborates with business partners and Corporate Financial Services to deliver complete staffing need packages. Mentors Resource Planning Analysts and Associates, coordinates with business units to align staffing with planned activity, and prepares quarterly budget packets with variance analysis and recommendations. Travel may be required; the role operates under Vanguard's hybrid working model.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Minimum three years progressively responsible and related work experience
- Strong planning, data collection, statistical analysis (hypothesis testing, regression, etc.) and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of forecasting applications like ForecastX, Crystal Ball, etc.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently, create strategies and plans and implement with little direction
- Time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to interact with all levels of management
- Strong professional presence
- Experience coaching and/or mentoring preferred
