Job Summary
Conduct multi-level documentation, recognize clinical interpretations, and treat patients accordingly on the Neuro Progressive Care Unit. Perform scrub techniques for various procedures and support team members before, during, and after operations to ensure optimal care. Serve as a departmental resource regarding policies and assist with clinical supervisory aspects, including teaching 12-lead EKG classes and maintaining annual competencies. Collect and report data by meeting established deadlines while maintaining good standing with annual evaluations. Requires current Alabama nursing license, BCLS/ACLS, and minimum five years of critical care experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Alabama nursing license
- BCLS and ACLS previously obtained and currently maintained
- Minimum of five years critical experience
- Extensive computer skills
- Proven teaching/training skills
- Team leadership skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced dynamic work environment related to changing daily work schedules
- Working with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease
- Ability to learn techniques quickly and accurately
