Job Summary
Resource Manager role responsible for deploying labour resources, weekly resource planning, ensuring compliance with site safety procedures, maintaining training matrix requirements, and supporting unit/framework programmes across the Northwest of England and Scotland. Collaborates with HR, Plant and SHEQ to manage resources, establish and develop new gangs, and plan gang succession. Requires strong communication, planning, negotiation, and mentoring abilities, with adeptness in IT (Outlook, Word, Excel). Hybrid role involving travel to offices and sites across the North of England and Scotland, with some home-based work.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business
- Engage confidently with senior managers and Contract Managers
- Demonstrate strong planning, organisation and presentation skills
- Identify Health & Safety and cost-related risks and opportunities
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Experienced in mentoring, coaching and developing others
- Strong problem-solving ability with good IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
