Job Summary
Document and remove marine debris, treat invasive vegetation, conduct wildlife and vegetation surveys, collect water quality measurements, and support habitat restoration at Padre Island National Seashore. Assist with archaeological site surveys and catalog artifacts for the park's museum collection. Complete resource management projects including documentation, treatment, and related natural resource management actions. This AmeriCorps placement offers a living allowance of $634/week and an education award of $3,247.50. Participants will work with federal agencies, tribal governments, and nonprofits to strengthen communities and preserve natural resources.
Required Qualifications
- At least 60 credit hours of undergraduate education
- 24 credit hours focusing on resource management fields
- Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records Check
- Must be at least 21 years old or have had a license for 3 years
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in resource management field
- One year of experience with resource management field work
