Job Summary
Recruit, screen, and prepare prospective adoptive families while assisting with the adoption application process to find permanent homes for waiting children. Consult with other specialists to identify and prepare foster children for successful transitions to adoptive families. Participate in an on-call rotation and complete the Child Welfare Core Academy Training Program. This role involves extensive travel requiring a valid driver's license and state vehicle use. Required Qualifications
- Completion of 90 hours from an accredited college or university
- 3 years of experience related to child welfare work
- A combination of education and experience
- A bachelor's degree (in any field)
- One year of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist
- A Master's degree
- A Bachelors Degree plus one year of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist
- Two years of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must maintain required car insurance
