Job Summary
Identify funding opportunities, monitor donor trends, and support strategic positioning with institutional, foundation, and non-traditional donors. Coordinate and lead the development of high-quality, compliant proposals, concept notes, and funding submissions in collaboration with country, programme, and support teams. Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, partners, NGOs, and other stakeholders to support business development and fundraising objectives. Provide technical support and capacity strengthening to country teams on programme design, proposal development, and donor requirements. Support multiple country offices globally and undertake travel of up to 30%, including occasional travel to field locations at short notice.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated success securing funding from institutional and non-institutional donors
- Supporting complex proposal development processes, including consortium bids
- Strong knowledge of European donor mechanisms
- Grant management requirements
- Proposal budgeting
- Donor compliance regulations
- Proven experience managing the full proposal development cycle, from opportunity identification through to donor submission
- Excellent proposal writing skills
- Communication skills
- Stakeholder engagement skills
- Relationship management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams
- Professional-level French language skills
- Professional-level English language skills
- Experience supporting humanitarian programming in fragile or conflict-affected contexts
- Right to work in France
- Advanced pre-employment checks (criminal records self-declaration, references, police and qualifications checks)
