Job Summary
Resort Maintenance Technician responsibilities include routine and preventative maintenance to maintain Sun’s resort properties, performing repairs across facilities and grounds, operating power equipment and tools, ensuring cleanliness and curb appeal, inspecting irrigation and recreational areas, assisting with site setups for guest arrivals, and providing excellent guest service. The role requires outdoor work, the use of various hand and power tools, minor plumbing and carpentry tasks, report writing, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Requires a High School Diploma or GED and flexibility to respond to resort needs during on-call hours. Salary is $16 per hour with full-time, seasonal availability in Davenport, FL.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- 6 months in previous maintenance experience in a campground or RV resort (Preferred)
- Demonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general maintenance techniques and repair work
- Ability to endure seasonal temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work
- General knowledge of janitorial work, plumbing, and grounds maintenance
- Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery
- Ability to provide legible written reports
- Ability to work well independently as well as on a team
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and internet
- Availability to respond to resort needs during non-business hours while on-call
